Well this is very exciting (and a little scary!)

Well this is very exciting (and a little scary! )
We’re delighted to tell you that we are one of 12 lucky winners of a free stand in the coveted #SBS Pavilion at Autumn Fair! This September we’ll be exhibiting all our products to buyers from retailers all over the country alongside the very best British gift and homeware businesses…. What an opportunity!
This has all been made possible because we’re part of Theo Pathitis’ #SBS community. For weeks/months we tweeted every Sunday night in the hope that the former Dragon would choose our message to retweet to his many followers. Each week he chooses 6 small businesses (#SBS = Small Business Sunday) and they join a fantastic group of likeminded businesses.Earlier this year we went to the inspiring annual event, met Mr Pathitis and received our certificate. It was here that he announced the Autumn Fair competition – he was taking 12 small businesses and putting them centre stage. Watching the video of last years event, and the winners saying how it had helped them we looked at each other and knew we would enter.
Well this is very exciting (and a little scary! )Fast forward just 4 months and here we are, making lists, panicking, researching display stands and still beaming big smiles. It just goes to show that you have to enter these opportunities when you see them, because you just never know and this could change our whole business! We’re getting to know the other amazing winners and sharing the excitement with them, they are an amazing bunch as Julie Driscoll, ITE (Autumn Fair) Regional Director, said: “Whittling the original 36 down to just twelve has been no easy task. Each of the shortlisted businesses should be incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved. They’re an exceptional cohort of businesses that reflect the current state of incredible entrepreneurialism in the retail sector. We’ve selected the absolute crème de la crème of the shortlisted to come to Autumn Fair this September. On behalf of Autumn Fair I’d like to extend my congratulations to each of the winners”. Autumn Fair is at the Birmingham NEC from September 1 to 4 – if you are coming please come and say hello 🙂
