We want you to be happy with your purchase!
1. Returns
We accept returns and exchanges.
If you’ve changed your mind and would like to return your purchase, you may do so. Should you decide that what you’ve received isn’t quite right and you’d like to swap it for another item, that’s fine too.
You can return unopened items in the original packaging within 20 days of your purchase with receipt or proof of purchase. If 20 days or more have passed since your purchase, we cannot offer you a refund or an exchange.
Upon receipt of the returned item, we will fully examine it and notify you via email, within a reasonable period of time, whether you are entitled to a return.
If you are entitled to a return, we will refund your purchase price which will be applied to your original method of payment.
Alternatively, if it’s a swap you’d like, we’ve send out your replacement using our standard shipping method.

2. Exceptions
Personalised items are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
3. Shipping
We use Royal Mail Tracked 48 as the standard service for UK orders, unless you chose an alternative, which typically takes around 2 working days for delivery.
You will receive an email notification when your order has been dispatched along with tracking details. Our aim is to dispatch your order within 2 working days of receipt of payment.
Please note that we cannot guarantee that specific delivery instructions (such as leaving the parcel in a porch or calling upon arrival) will be followed, as this is subject to the policies of the delivery service provider.
We ship to the delivery address provided at checkout. Please ensure all address details are accurate when placing your order, once shipped we can not change the address and you will be liable for the additional postage to send any returned orders to the correct address.
4. Free Shipping
If your order qualifies for free shipping, the initial shipment will be sent at no cost. However, if the order is returned to us, you will be responsible for covering the postage fees for any subsequent re-shipments.
5. International Shipping
For international orders we use Royal Mail international services. Timescales vary depending on your country due to distance and differences in customs processes.
It usually takes 12-16 working days to arrive, but can take longer.

Refunds do not include any shipping and handling charges shown on the packaging slip or invoice. Shipping charges for all returns must be prepaid and insured by you.
You are responsible for any loss or damage during return shipment. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item, it is your responsibility to package the item appropriately to protect from damages, damaged returns will not be refunded.
Return shipping costs (for non-faulty items) are borne by the customer.
Any amounts refunded will not include the cost of return shipping.
7. Customs and Courier charges
Following the UK leaving the EU, fees and charges have been experienced by customers within EU countries when receiving orders from the UK.
A Year of Dates will not reimburse any fees and charges applied to a customer by their local customs or couriers.
They are local charges and unfortunately A Year of Dates cannot predict, forecast or estimate any such fee, which is applied locally differently by each EU member state and courier company.
8. Discounts and offers
Any discount codes or offers given on the website can not be added retrospectively to orders placed before the offer began. Discount codes missed, or seen after purchase, are not able to be discounted after the purchase is made. A Year of Dates reserve the right to withdraw any offers or discount codes before the given date with no notice.
9. Legal Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales
10. Consumer Rights
These terms do not affect a customer’s statutory rights under UK law (such as the Consumer Rights Act)
