London is the easiest city in the country to live in and never see. You pass the museum on the commute, you have walked past that theatre for three years, and the weekend goes on the same walk, the same table, the same street. It is not a lack of interest. It is that nobody ever decides.

This box decides. Each sealed card sends the two of you somewhere specific, so the evening starts with a place rather than half an hour of neither of you minding. The ideas take in areas as much as venues, from Camden Market to Canary Wharf, from the museums and galleries to comedy, street food and dessert, and they lean towards the parts of London that Londoners actually use rather than the ones on the postcards.

What is in the box

Eighteen cards in total. Sixteen are sealed, each carrying one date idea set in London or the wider city. The remaining two are blank, for you to fill in yourselves.

There is no schedule to keep to. Open one when you are planning a date and want a gentle nudge and some inspiration for where to go, whether that works out monthly, fortnightly or whenever the week allows. The ideas run from free to a proper night out, so there is always one that suits the week you are having. The box measures 16cm x 10cm x 4cm, small enough to sit on a shelf and easy to post.

The personalisation

Two things make the box yours. Choose one of nine print colours and one of two fonts, then add the names or a short message printed on the top of the box, up to 30 characters. It is printed to order in our UK studio, so check the spelling before you order, as personalised boxes cannot be returned.

The two blank cards do the same job on the inside. Write in the places only you two know, or the ones you keep meaning to get to, then seal them in their own envelopes, which match the other sixteen so they blend straight in. Once they are mixed back into the box, neither of you knows which card is coming next.

Giving it as a gift

It works as a wedding gift for a couple who have just moved here, at Christmas for the pair who always say they should make more of living in London, and as an anniversary gift that comes with a year of plans attached rather than a single evening. The one thing to check is that they live in or near Greater London, because every idea is grounded here. Send it straight to them by entering their address at checkout, and add a gift message that we print and include with the order. Everything ships in plain packaging, so nothing is given away on the doorstep.

Environment

We aim to produce gifts that are 100% recyclable, and we encourage all those enjoying opening envelopes to recycle them after they’ve completed their activities.

Our boxes are 100% recyclable, and are constructed from ‘greyboard’ which is made from a mix of recycled and waste paper. The outer wrap paper is also recyclable.

Where possible, the paper we use for our card and envelopes is sourced from FSC-certified suppliers.

Shipping Information

We wish we could hand deliver every order placed with us. Unfortunately, this isn’t possible – so we have to rely on the postman.

Most items ship for free in the UK. Where free delivery applies, it is clearly shown in the product information, so you will know before you order.

Free UK delivery is sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48 to mainland UK addresses. These are usually delivered within 2-3 working days, but this is not guaranteed.

We offer an upgrade to Tracked 24 (next working day) or express, which is sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery.

You can choose to have your order delivered to your own address, sent directly to the recipient, or delivered to a Royal Mail parcel locker or collection point convenient for you. Please note the lockers will hold the order for 3 days, and returned orders will be subject to an additional charge to resend.

We also offer free international shipping on orders over £60 to most countries. Our international orders are sent via Royal Mail International, and tracked depending on the destination.

Tracking is provided on all orders once dispatched and will be shown in your dispatch email.

We aim to send your order within 1 working day of receiving your payment. Orders received before 12pm UK time will be shipped the same day (excluding weekends and bank holidays).
