A paperback novel you choose

Every box contains one new paperback, chosen by you from our current selection above the Add to basket button. The selection is a mix of popular fiction, from psychological thrillers and romance to cosy crime and young adult, with a couple of non-fiction titles alongside. Titles change as new books come in and others sell out, so the options on the page are always the ones available today.

A chocolate bar

Choose one full-size chocolate bar from our current range. Flavours run from salted caramel to sticky toffee pudding, and there are bars that say ‘Smile’ or ‘I Love You’ if you want the chocolate to carry the message.

A brew

Choose a single tea or coffee bag from our current range, ready for the kettle and the first few chapters.

Picking the book

If you know what they like to read, choose by genre: a thriller for the friend who stays up past midnight to find out who did it, a romance for the one who wants to be somewhere else entirely for an evening. If they read a bit of everything, the thriller and cosy crime titles suit the widest range of readers.

Sending it as a gift

To send the Book Lovers Box straight to the recipient, add their address in the shipping details at checkout and include a gift note. We print the note and include it with the order. Everything goes out in plain packaging, so nothing gives the contents away on the doorstep, and no prices or invoices are included in the parcel.

UK delivery is free. The estimated delivery date shown by the Add to basket button tells you when it should arrive.

Ingredients

Ingredients and allergen information are printed on every food and drink item. To check them before you order, you can find each treat and drink in our treats range, with full details on its own page. If you are buying for someone with an allergy or dietary need, get in touch and we will help you choose.

Environment

We aim to produce gifts that are 100% recyclable, and we encourage all those enjoying opening envelopes to recycle them after they’ve completed their activities.

Our boxes are 100% recyclable, and are constructed from ‘greyboard’ which is made from a mix of recycled and waste paper. The outer wrap paper is also recyclable.

Where possible, the paper we use for our card and envelopes is sourced from FSC-certified suppliers.

Shipping Information

We wish we could hand deliver every order placed with us. Unfortunately, this isn’t possible – so we have to rely on the postman.

Most items ship for free in the UK. Where free delivery applies, it is clearly shown in the product information, so you will know before you order.

Free UK delivery is sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48 to mainland UK addresses. These are usually delivered within 2-3 working days, but this is not guaranteed.

We offer an upgrade to Tracked 24 (next working day) or express, which is sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery.

You can choose to have your order delivered to your own address, sent directly to the recipient, or delivered to a Royal Mail parcel locker or collection point convenient for you. Please note the lockers will hold the order for 3 days, and returned orders will be subject to an additional charge to resend.

We also offer free international shipping on orders over £60 to most countries. Our international orders are sent via Royal Mail International, and tracked depending on the destination.

Tracking is provided on all orders once dispatched and will be shown in your dispatch email.

We aim to send your order within 1 working day of receiving your payment. Orders received before 12pm UK time will be shipped the same day (excluding weekends and bank holidays).
